He was born Dec. 29, 1913, in Kalida, the son of Carey and Effie (Kirkendall) Allgire. In 1937, he married La Moille Cox, who survives. He worked at Figley Dye and Stamping as a machinist for 43 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and its ABC class, and Tuendawie Lodge 195, and Masonic Lodge for 50 years.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Cecil, Claude and Leroy.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. John Hess officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
