She was born July 2, 1915, in Kunkle, the daughter of F. Marion and Gertrude (Barnes) Cox. In 1937, she married Emerson Allgire, who died in 1997. She was the owner and operator of Molly's Beauty Shop for 50 years and a member of First Presbyterian Church and its ABC and Florence Layman classes and women's circle, Eastern Star, Friends of the Defiance Public Library, Thirteen Club and Senior CCL Club. She was a 4-H advisor and a charter member of the Friendship Club.
Also preceding her in death were a sister, Beatrice Miller; and three brothers, Clifford, Ross and William Cox.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church with Rev. Heather Christensen officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens.
