William E. Albert Sr., 82, of Fairfield Street, South Middleton Township, died Friday, July 6, 2001, in his home.
Born Oct. 16, 1918, in Carlisle, he was the son of the late Harvey Guy and Elsie Mae Waggoner Albert.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
A retired employee of AMP Inc. in Carlisle, he belonged to Grace United Methodist Church, Carlisle.
Mr. Albert was a member of Elks Lodge 578 and Whirl A Way square dance club, both Carlisle, and the national and local AARP.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Sarah Adams Albert; a son, William E. Albert Jr. of Harrisburg; a daughter, Bonnie Rutz of Carlisle; a sister, Mabel Zeigler of Carlisle; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, 219 North Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Dr. Marlin L. Snider officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery, North Middleton Township.
