MR. LLOYD BAKER of Vauxhall,
beloved husband of Mrs. Teresa
Baker, passed away in the Holy Cross
Hospital, Calgary on Monday,
January 25, 1993 at the age of 68
years.
Lloyd was born on December 21,
1924 at Retlaw where he attended
school and resided until 1969. After
the passing of his father, at age 13,
Lloyd along with his brother, Vern
and mother, and the help of friends
and relatives, operated the family
farm. Lloyd had a lifetime interest
and love for farming. He enjoyed
hunting, fishing, curling, playing ball
and cards. He was also an honorary
member of the Vauxhall Royal
Canadian Legion. Lloyd married
in 1969 and moved to
Vauxhall where he continued to
reside until the time of his passing.
He was predeceased by his father,
Perry in 1938; mother, Martha in
1991; two brothers: Russel in 1932 and
Vernon in 1988; and two brothers in
infancy.
Lloyd was respected by all and will
be sadly missed by his loving wife,
family and friends.
Family and friends may meet for
visitation in the Southland Funeral
Chapel, Taber on Thursday, January
28, 1993 between 7:00 and 8:00 P.M.
The Funeral Service was held in St.
Joseph's Catholic Church, Vauxhall
on Friday, January 29, 1993 with Father Fred Monk and
Rev. Brent Woodard o f f i c i a t i n g .
Interment to follow in the Vauxhall
Cemetery. If f r i e n d s desire,
Memorial Tributes may be made to
the Vauxhall Legion S193 Building
Fund or to the charity of one's
choice.
