Edward 'Eddie" was born in 1875 in Iowa, USA and came to Canada with his parents in 1910. He homesteaded in Burfield, Alberta, Alberta, while his parents took up land in Retlaw, Alberta
In 1924 he came back to Retlaw district Eddie barbered in Sutton's Pool Hall from 1925-1926 and then moved, secured a farm in Vauxhall. In about 1943, Eddie and his wife, Rose moved to Cowley, Alberta, where he followed the trade of barber for two years. He returned to Vauxhall in 1945, where he purchased a house in town, Eddie passed away suddenly at home in March of 1948', at age of 73 years, and is buried in the Vauxhall Cemetery. Rose died January 19, 1984. (Minnesota) Eddie and Rose had one daughter, Peggy who married Lawrence Reason.
