Mr. Oscar Wood, 66, died July 5, 1980, at the Taylor County Hospital. He was a resident of Route 1, Casey Creek, Ky. and was a native of Taylor County. Funeral services were held at the Mt. Zion Church of God Monday, July 7 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Harold Squires officiating and assisted by Rev. Singleton. Interment followed in the Eastridge Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Donald NanKervis, Jerry NanKervis, Larry NanKervis, Jeff Willis, Mark Sneed, John Beavin, Brian Milby, and Allen Willis. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Nannie Cox Wood; two sons, Danny and Tommy Wood, all of Casey Creek. Five daughters survive: Mrs. Peggy Joyce Beavin of Dayton, Ohio. Mrs. June King of Crestwood, Ky., Mrs. Shelia Hare of Cane Valley, Ky., Mrs. Jean NanKervis of Fenton, Michigan, and Mrs. Fredia Sue Willis of Milltown, Ky. Three brothers survive: Charles Wood of Walnut Creek, California, Wily Wood of Cincinnati, Ohio, and William Wood of Portland, Oregon. Six sisters also survive: Miss Mattie Wood of Richmond, Indiana, Mrs. W. W. King of Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Walter Morris of San Jose, California, Mrs. Willard Chelf of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Fred St. John of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Mrs. Herman Graybeal of Portland, Oregon. Twenty-five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren survive.
