Mrs. Binar Roena Wood, 86, of Casey Creek, died September 8, 1969 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home following an extended illness. A native of Ash County, North Carolina and daughter of the late Elihu and Mary Ann Eastridge, she lived most of her life in the Mount Zion community of Casey Creek, Ky. She was a charter member of the Mount Zion Church of God and was active in community affairs. She was the widow of the late Floyd W. Wood who died in 1947. Surviving Mrs. Wood are five sons, Charlie Wood, Walnut Creek, California; Walter Wood, Paris, Ky.; Wiley Wood, Cincinnati, Ohio; William Wood, Portland, Oregon; and Oscar Wood, Casey Creek, Ky.; six daughters, Mrs. W. W. King, Mrs. Herbert Graybeal, Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. W. C. Morris, San Jose, California; Mattie Wood, Richmond, Ind.; Mrs. Herman Graybeal, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. Fred St. John and Mrs. Willard Chelf, Cincinnati, Ohio; thirty grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Surviving also are two half-brothers, Everett Eastridge, Casey Creek, Ky. and Avery Eastridge, Dayton, Ohio and one half-sister, Nancy Eastridge, Wichita, Kansas. Funeral services were held at the Mount Zion Church of God. Ministers conducting the service were Rev. Thomas Pelt of Paris, Ky., Rev. J. D. Campbell of Campbellsville, Ky. and Rev. Wilmer Ellis of Casey Creek Ky. Music was provided by grandchildren, Wayne, Douglas and Sharon King of Dayton, Ohio and Shirley Coolidge of Anderson, Indiana. Pallbearers were grandsons, Hal, Charles and Boyce Wood of Anderson, Indiana, Danny and Tommy Wood of Casey Creek, Ky., and Don Wood of Cincinnati, Ohio. Services were arranged and handled by the Lyon Funeral Home in Campbellsville, Ky.
