Lutie was born in 1901 to Elsie Singer and John Boone of Union Bridge MD, out of wedlock. She was raised by her grandparents as their own daughter. She was told later when she got sick from fever and almost died that Elsie who she knew as her sister was actually her mother. She only met her father 1 time as I know of. Lutie went on to marry Bruce P. Eyler Sr. in 1921 and had 12 children. She was a wonderful person, very quiet and sweet. She lived a hard life but never complained. After Bruce passed on things changed, she lived in Taneytown MD until some of her children would take her one by one for a month or more at a time, until they could not do it anymore because she couldnt get around much, her knees were bad also. She passed on at the nursing home she lived in Emmitsburg MD, after one of the nurses heard her coughing and went to get her some medicine, and by the time she got back, Lutie had passed on. Miss her very much!
