Born in the town of Eagle on March 25, 1904, he was a son of Sydney and Maude (Granger) Barber. He was married to the former Beulah Dornan, who survives.
Mr. Barber was a retired dairy farmer and cattle dealer.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Frances (Joseph) McCrary of Fillmore; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edgar Barber and Vernon Barber, both of Bliss; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Barber was predeceased by a brother, Floyd Barber; and two sisters, Gladys Ford and Hazel Lester.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 1 at the Bliss Baptist Church. The Rev. Clara Eastman officiated, assisted by the Rev. James Stevens, pastor of the Lyndonville United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by Kropler-Williams Funeral Home in Fillmore.
