MRS. ALTA CONSTANCE
LAMOND, beloved wife of the Late
Mr. William Lamond, passed away in
Vauxhall on Saturday, May 17th, 1986
at the age of 72 years.
Born and educated in Tuttle, North
Dakota, Alta immigrated to Canada
with her parents and brothers on
March 22nd, 1928 settling in Enchant.
The family moved to the Vauxhall
area in 1932 and in 1936 she was
married to William Craig Lamond.
They farmed until 1946 at which time
they moved into the Town of
Vauxhall. '
Alta owned and operated a coffee
shop for a number of years. She was
also employed by numerous other
employers in the area. Alta retired in
1979 and has resided in Vauxhall until
the time of her passing.
Alta is survived by one daughter,
Barbara (Les) Norgardt of Edmonton;
two sons, Jerry (Judy) Lamond
0. Taber, and Jim (Gail) Lamond of
Vauxhall; four grandchildren,
Jonathan Lamond, Chris Lamond,
Scott Lamond, and Cheryle
Norgardt; two brothers, Gordon
(Ester) Johnson of Vauxhall, and
Melvin (Meta) Johnson of Leth
bridge; three sister-in-laws, Jean
Johnson, Elizabeth Johnson, and
Selma Johnson; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
Alta was predeceased by her
husband, William; a son Willie in
1949; five brothers, Severin Johnson,
Telman Johnson, Albert Johnson,
Engvald Johnson, and John Johnson.
The Funeral Service will be held in
the Vauxhall Evangelical Free
Church on Thursday, May 22nd, 1986
at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Vern Beck
officiating. Interment to follow in the
Vauxhall Cemetery.
