Lillian Marguerite (Kinzig) Norris (1912-2009) is the second-born of the four children of Joseph Kinzig (1881-1961) and Emma Marie (Bender) Kinzig (1882-1971). Bruce Garver, who manages this Memorial, is a second cousin once removed to Lillian and her three siblings: (1) Marcella E. (Kinzig) Benson (1906-1993), (2) Ellsworth Joseph Kinzig (1918–1999), and (3) Marjorie Emma (Kinzig) Lovett (1921–2018). Their mother, Emma Marie Bender Kinzig is a first cousin to Bruce's grandfather John Frederick "Fred" Garver (1881-1953) and is also the godmother to Bruce's Dad, Lee William Garver (1904-1985).

Lillian Marguerite Kinzig was born on November 4, 1912, at Dayton, seat of Montgomery County, Ohio, to Joseph Kinzig and Emma Marie (Bender) Kinzig. The 1940 U. S. Federal Census reports that Lillian Marguerite Kinzig, age 26, resided on Elmwood Avenue in Van Buren Township of Montgomery County, Ohio, with her parents, Joseph Kinzig, age 58, and Emma M. (Bender) Kinzig, age 57, and their three other children, Marcella E. (Kinzig) Benson, a divorcee st age thirty-two, Joseph Kinzig, single at age twenty-one., and Marjorie Emma Kinzig, single at age nineteen. Also residing in this household was eight-year-old Dale Benson (1932-1992), the son Marcella E. (Kinzig) Benson and her ex-husband David Benson.
