As Pallbearers
TABER (HNS) —Her six sons were the pallbearers at the funeral of Mrs. Mary Friesen which was conducted Friday afternoon from the Mennonite Brethren Church at Vauxhall. Rev. Henry A, Unruh officiated. Interment was in the Mennonite Brethren cemetery at Vauxhall, with burial arrangements by Humphries Funeral Home of Taber.
Mrs. Friesen passed away on Friday at a Medicine Hat hospital at the age of 64. she was born at Steinfeld, Russia on October 5, 1895. She was married there on September 8, 1918 and emigrated with her family to Canada
in 1920. They farmed at Rosthern, Sask. until 1935, moved to Coaldale for three years, and took up farming at Vauxhall in 1939. They have resided at Vauxhall since that time.
Mrs. Friesen is survived by her h u s b a n d George, six sons George R., Henry, Jake, Benjamin and Peter all of Vauxhall,and John of High River; five daughters Mrs. Mary Klassen of Calgary, Mrs. Margaret Clark and Mrs. Elsie Groves of Lethbridge, Mrs. Tina Johnson of Duchess, and Miss Ann Friesen of Vauxhall; and 24 grand children.
