He was the first son of Isaiah and Elizabeth 'Lizzie' H. (Shell) Elliott. He was preceded in death by his father, d.1885, and his mother Elizabeth, d.1941.
All his many half brothers and sisters through his father's previous marriages have passed through the years. John's connection to my family is through these two half-sisters my great-grandmother Melvina Rebecca (Elliott) Townsley and her sister, my great-aunt Delilah (Elliott) Hockett.
For each family member that I can remember in some small way will not be forgotten, but remembered.
