He lived in Lindale, Georgia before coming to Kansas City, Missouri where he met his future wife, Dorothy Rose (Gates) Moore (1921 - 1998).
Milo married Dorothy on June 21, 1940 in Parkville, Missouri, where they remained for the majority of the rest of their lives.
The couple had nine children: five boys (John "Jack" R. Moore, Kenneth M. Moore, Ricky L. Moore, Tom L. Moore, and Tim F. Moore) and four girls (Dorothy A. Moore, Jean E. Moore, Connie L. Moore, and Amy L. Moore).
Milo died on November 9, 1997, at North Kansas City Hospital. He was survived by his wife, all of his children, and several grandchildren.
