George Chittick was the son of Esther Chittick and the grandson of William Chittick and his second wife Elizabeth Morrison.

He married Ann or Annie Cairney on October 28, 1892. They had nine children.

George Chittick and his son William left the port of Glasgow, Scotland on 16 Oct 1909 aboard the ship "Columbia". They arrived in the port of New York, New York, USA on 24 Oct 1909. As stated on the passenger list; their final destination was Trinidad, Colorado.

Annie Cairney Chittick and children (Mary, John, Annie, Sydney, Ruth and Elizabeth) left the port of Glasgow, Scotland on 5 March 1910. After a stop at the port of Londonderry, Ireland, the ship "California" arrived in the port of New York, New York, USA on 14 March 1910. As stated on the passenger list; their final destination Starkville, Colorado. Annie identifies a relative "Mrs. Moore" as her mother in law. Mrs. Moore was indeed her mother in law--Esther had married Thomas Moore on September 24, 1880 in Lanark, Scotland.

George worked in the mines in Colorado and New Mexico. He died in New Mexico at the age of forty-four.
