DRAPER Thurs. March 11 – Parley Pratt Smith, 79, Draper, died of natural causes Wednesday at 2 p.m. in a Murray hospital.
Born July 10, 1885, Draper, to Absolom W. and Louisa Osborn Smith. Married Leona Allen June 23, 1920, Salt Lake LDS temple. Salt Lake County Deputy sheriff 1934-1946. Served LDS mission Southern States.
Survivors: widow; daughters, sons, Allen P., Paul J., Mrs. Clifford (LaRae) Hales, Mrs. Dan (Marion) Damlanovich, all Draper; Mrs. LeRoy (Claire) Cordner, Mrs. Darwin (Deon) Bagley, both Sandy; Mrs. George (Carolyn) Showell, Riverton; Willis A., Murray; Mrs. Helen Searcy, Bountiful; brother, sister, Berl L., Mrs. Margaret (Nellie) Hardcastle, both Draper. Funeral Saturday 1 p.m., Draper Second-Fourth LDS Ward chapel. Friends call 8090 S. State Friday 6-8 p.m., chapel Saturday one hour prior to service.
