Born in Reedsville Aug. 28, 1909, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Boettcher, he was married to Pearl Wagner in 1940. He was a member of the Reedsville Volunteer Fire Department since 1934 and served as fire chief for 10 years. He also was a member of the Manitowoc County Fire Fighters Association and a member of the Civil Defense organization.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Betty Jo Boettcher; a son, Arthur Jr., both of Reedsville; two sisters, Mrs. James Cullen, R. 4, New Holstein, and Mrs. Arthur Habeck, Manitowoc. His wife and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Reedsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Willard Albertus, of the Brillion EUB Church, officiating. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Brillion. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday.
