Mr. Snow was employed as a firefighter at the General Electric Co. River Works Plant, Lynn, during World War II.
Born and educated in Marblehead, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Snow was a member of St. Stephen's United Methodist Church and the Red Men Association.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen D. (Stillman) Snow; three sons, Stillman Polley of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Robert W. Snow of Swampscott, and Donald Snow of Marblehead; two daughters, Mrs. Merton W. (Helen M.) Cashman Jr. and Mrs. John F. (Patricia A.) McKay, both of Marblehead; 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Horace E. and Fannie E. (Plummer) Snow and father of the late Herbert S. Polley and George Gibson Polley.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Arland A. Dirlam Chapel at Waterside Cemetery.
