Joseph Lensmeyer, 59, of Kellnersville, a deputy sheriff and a highway patrolman for a quarter of a century, died suddenly early today at the Holy Family hospital. He was stricken with a heart attack late Friday afternoon when he returned to his home from his duties on the highway and was rushed to the hospital here.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Husar funeral home, Kellnersville, and at 9:30 at the St. Joseph church, the Rev. Frank Svatek officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Lensmeyer was born in Franklin in 1887 and in 1917 married Miss Frances Jirikovec. They located in Kellnersville where for 25 years Mr. Lensmeyer served as highway patrolman. He was also a deputy sheriff 23 years.
Survivors are his wife; eight daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hynek of Kellnersville, Mrs. Ray Huinker of Valders, Mrs. Bernard Shimon of Reifs Mills, Esther, Betty, Dorothy, and Florence of this city, Corrine at home; two sons, Clarence and Joseph Jr., of Kellnersville; four brothers, Frank of Franklin, John of Cato, Michael of Reedsville and Louis of this city; two sisters, Mrs. John Haas and Mrs. Anna Rameker of this city; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for Joseph Lensmeyer, 59, (photo), of Kellnersville, who died Saturday, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph's church, Kellnersville, with interment in the church cemetery. Mr. Lensmeyer was a highway patrolman for 25 years and also served nearly that span as a deputy sheriff.
