Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Harrigan Parkside Funeral home and 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mass of Chistian burial will be celebrated by Rev. David Ruby with entombment at Calvary Mausoleum, where military rite will be accorded Mr. Lensmeyer by Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post No. 6179.
He was born September 25, 1919, in Kellnersville, Wis., son of the late Joseph and Frances Jirikovik Lensmeyer. He was the past commander of Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post No. 6179 of Cato, Wis. He was also a past member of Manitowoc County Deputies Association. For most of his life, he was involved with area baseball teams as a player, manager and umpire. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Clara; five children, Gary (Diane) Lensmeyer of Madison, Thomas (Star) Lensmeyre of Whitelaw, Randy (Shirley) Lensmeyer of Manitowoc, Mark (Rose) Lensmeyer of Whitelaw, Mary Kay (Dale) BIely of Manitowoc; a brother, Joseph (Janet) Lensmeyer of Francis Creek; seven sisters, Mildred Hynek of Manitowoc, Esther Skubal of Manitowoc, Grace (Bernard) Shimon of Branch , Betty Lakatos of Kellnersville, Florence (Melvin) Herrmann of Whitelaw, Dorothy (Art) Vogel of Green Bay, Corrine (Ervin) Dose of Manitowoc, also six grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; seven brothers-in-law; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a sister, Olive Huinker, and five brothers-in-law.
