Pauline "Clemmie" McBrearty was born on March 25, 1926 on a farm near Wilson, Texas, where she grew up and as a small child would help pick cotton. Coming to Nevada, she was the first female school bus driver in the state. She was also employed by the State of Nevada at the State Mental Health Hospital, working in the warehouse. There, she met and married the late William McBrearty. After 20 years, Pauline retired from the State and remained in the area. She made several trips to visit her family in Washington and California. She enjoyed collecting dolls and decorating for Christmas.

Out of 15 children in the family, surviving are her brother: Jack McAnally of Plain View, TX; her sister: Emily Morris of Tulia, TX; and her sister-in-law: Helen McAnally of Vallejo, CA. Pauline is also survived by her children: Carl (Jerry) Schultz of Reno, Debbie Pasalich of Romana, CA, and Chris (Toni) Schultz of Colville, WA; her grandchildren: Ian Schultz (Deceased), Bryan Schultz of Reno, Derrick (Susan) and Stoney (Julie) Pasalich of Romana, CA, Barry (Lisa) Pasalich of Chino Valley, AZ, Brandi Schultz of Costa Mesa, CA, Ethan and Dwight Schultz of Colville, WA, and Heather (Michael) Smith of Colville, WA; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
