Mrs. Susan Grandy, aged 93, died in the Coldwater poor house the other day, and her son, who lived eight miles away, was "so busy he couldn't go to the funeral." Deceased was the mother of several children who were abundantly able to take care of her, but they pushed her off into the poor house. At one time she was an inmate of the Lenawee County poorhouse.
Per her death certificate, she was buried in this cemetery. Given the way she was treated by her children, she deserves to be remembered.
