Lela Christine Moran, 83, of Greensburg, Ky., died on Friday, Dec. 14, 2001, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.

Daughter of the late Flem Adkins and Sarah Jane Sidebottom Adkins, she was born on Jan. 18, 1918, in Adair County, Ky., and was a member of Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church of the Nolynn Association.

She was married to Coys Moran, who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons and six daughters and their spouses, David and Patsy Moran and James Thomas and Shelia Moran, all of Greensburg, Betty and Delbert Compton of Louisville, Geraldine and William Milby, Eddie Mae and Ralph Lobb, Glenda and Larry Thompson and Christina and Nick Milby, all of Greensburg, and Angela Moran of Radcliff; three brothers, Raymond Adkins of Greensburg, Flem Adkins Jr. of Louisville and Edwin Adkins of Indiana; one sister, Irene Kitchen of Indiana; 13 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 19 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one grandchild, Janet Lynn Milby; and one great-grandchild, Jacob Austin Thompson.

Funeral was at 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 16 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Bro. Twyman Davis and Bro. Ralph Lobb officiated. Pallbearers were David Thompson, Delbert Thomas Thompson, Keith Thompson, Timmy Milby, Robert Adkins and Ronnie Moran. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Moran, Darell Compton and Ricky Adkins.
