William Griffith, 75, of 172 Ormand street, died Monday afternoon at Miners' Hospital, where he was admitted Friday.
A retired coal miner, he had been in ill health for some time.
He was a lifelong resident of this city, and a member of First Baptist Church, and the Frostburg Fire Department.
Mr. Griffith is survived by his widow, Mrs. Katherine (Hartig) Griffith; six daughters, Mrs. Annan Myers, Cumberland; Mrs. H. Rodgers, Akron, Ohio: Mrs. Hugh Duncan and Mrs. Gerard Davis, this city; Mrs. Charles Walters, Mt. Savage, and Miss Ethel Griffith, at home; four sons, William F. Griffith, of Zihlman; Clayton, Earl and Donald Griffith, Frostburg. and a brother, Robert Griffith, Cumberland.
Services will, be held from the home tomorrow at 2:30 p. m., with interment in Allegany cemetery.
