A native of Frostburg, Mrs. Griffith was a daughter of the late George and Mary Zais Hartig. She was a member of Salem Evangelical and Reformed Church.
Mrs. Griffith is survived by six daughters, Miss Ethel Griffith, at home; Mrs. Anna Myers, Cumberland; Mrs. Edgar Rodgers, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Charles Walters, Mt. Savage, and Mrs. Olive Duncan and Mrs. Gerard Davis, both of Frostburg; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Millers and Mrs. Clara Harris, and Miss Mary Hartig, all of Frostburg; four sons, William Griffith, Clayton Griffith, Earl Griffith and Donald Griffith, all of Frostburg, and one brother, George Hartig, Cumberland.
