Schuler, Caroline nee Hecker (Feb. 20, 1881-Feb. 12, 1973 –wife of Joseph Schuler [married June 10, 1902 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton] –daughter of Joseph Hecker and Mary Heinzen –born Town of Schleswig –from 1943 until near her death in 1973 lived in the farm house at 9604 Greendale Road in Section 35, Town of Eaton –this house was owned by her son Theodore Schuler –died from “coronary disease –thrombosis –myocardial failure”) – buried at St. Gregory Catholic Cemetery in St. Nazianz, Town of Eaton [buried in Section 4, Row 4, Lot 18] [marriage record Manitowoc 7-217] [death record Manitowoc 72-536]

Mrs. Caroline Schuler, 91, formerly of Route 1, Kiel died Monday morning at Family Heritage Home at Manitowoc, leaving 220 direct descendents.
She was born February 20, 1881, in the Town of Schleswig, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Heinzen Hecker.
On June 10, 1902, she was married to Joseph Schuler at St. Nazianz.
He died November 4, 1954.
Survivors are four sons, Al and Anton of Route 1, Valders, Raymond of Mishicot and Ted of Route 1, Kiel; five daughters, Mrs. Hildegard Salm of Route 1, Cleveland, Mrs. Isadore Meyer of St. Nazianz, Mrs. Ray Woelfel of Chilton, Mrs. Rose Bogenschuetz of Sheboygan and Mrs.
Elmer Gries of Route 1, Valders; 57 grandchildren, 153 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Thursday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. The Reverend Cyril Dickrell, pastor, celebrant of the funeral Mass. Burial was in the parish cemetery. - February 1973
