Funeral services for W.C. "Wimpy" Lister Dr. will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from the Red Hill Cemetery of Hammon under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City on Sunday and Monday.

Winfred Charles 'Wimpy' Lister Sr., was born July 20, 1022(sic) at Billa Green Colorado to Mose and Stella (Jones) Lister and passed waway(sic) Friday, September 21, 2007 at the age of 85.

W.C. moved with his family to Western Oklahoma where he graduated from Hammon High School. He served his country in the US Nave(sic) on the USS South Dakota as a gunner. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Richardson on July 4, 1946 at Hammon. They lived in the Hammon area until 1964 when they moved to Oklahoma City where they lived until 2004 when they moved to Waco, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Lister of Woodway, Texas; one son, W.C. Charlie Lister Jr. and his wife, Debbie of McKinney, Texas; one daughter, Meredith Watts and husband Keith of Woodway, Texas; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
