Funeral services for Mrs. Edward Hipke, 75, of 171 Ellis Avenue, Peshtigo, WI will be held Thursday, March 4, at 2 pm in Harper Funeral Home. Rev. Robert Priest of Peshtigo Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Harold, Kenneth, Gene and Jack May, Stephen Tebo and Mark Bruemmer.
Mrs. Hipke died Monday, March 1 at 11 pm at Marinette General Hospital. The former Alice Brownell was born September 3, 1895 in Peshtigo and spent her entire life in the area.
She married Clifford May in 1916 and he died in 1942.
On July 1, 1943, she married Edward Hipke in Peshtigo.
Surviving with her husband are three sons, Clifford B. May and Sam May of Peshtigo, WI and Harold May of Marinette, WI;
three daughters: Mrs. Barbara (Clifford) Tebo of Marinette, WI; Mrs. Margaret (D.M.) Hilsabeck of Pascagula, Mississippi, and Mrs. Janet (Silas) Bruemmer of Peshtigo, WI;
one sister, Mrs. Lucille (Fred) Koeppen of Manitowoc, WI;
16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren
