Albert Bowman, of 1013 N. Thirteenth St., died at 3:30 p.m. yesterday at his residence following an illness of several months. He was 86 years old.
Mr. Bowman was born May 31, 1867 in Springfield, a son of Albert and Johana Bowman and was a lifelong resident of Springfield.
He married Rose DeCroix in Springfield. She died April 1, 1950.
Mr. Bowman was a retired coal miner.
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Rose Williams, Joilet; Mrs. Katherine Biesenthal, Mrs. Margaret Sponsler, Mrs. Cecelia Howe and Mrs. Alice Conavay, all of Springfield, and Mrs. Eva Jones, Redono Beach, Calif.; a son, Charles, Springfield; a sister, Mrs. Kate Croenne, Springfield; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
