Betty Nell Yancy age 89 of Rockwood,Texas passed from this life on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at 2:52 pm at Bangs Nursing Home.
Services will be graveside at the Santa Anna Cemetery Pavilion on Friday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Arthur Switzer officiating. Interment will follow, services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:00 am till 1:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home.
She was born Betty Nell Switzer on February 6, 1926 in Coleman County, Texas to the late Arthur Ealy and Maggie Baird Switzer. Nell was a lifetime resident of Rockwood, Texas where she attended Rockwood Schools. On January 25, 1947 Nell married Walter Scott Yancy and they celebrated forty two years of marriage. Walter preceded her in death in 1989. Nell was a member of the Rockwood Baptist Church and a homemaker caring for her home and family.
