Death of Mrs. Kate C. Stowell.
Mrs. Kate C. Stowell of 607 South Clinton street died last night at 9:10 o'clock at Kelso sanitarium. She has been ill since April 19, when she was stricken with Paralysis and this with complications caused her death.
She was born in Arenzburg, Pa., in 1844 and has been a resident of Bloomington since 1883. She was the widow of George E. Stowell formerly a traveling salesman of this city. Surviving are the following children: William C. Stowell of Amarilla, Texas; Sarah F. Stowell and Mrs. A. G. Hill, both of this city and Charles J. Stowell of Urbana. She also leaves a sister, Miss Anna Clingman of this city. She was a member of the First M. E. church. The funeral announcement will be made later.

Funeral of Mrs. Stowell.
The funeral of Mrs. Kate C. Stowell was held yesterday afternoon from Beck's chapel, and the services were in charge of Rev. A. K. Byrns of First Methodist church. Mrs. Guy Palmer sang "Face to Face' and "Rock of Ages." The burial was in Bloomington cemetery and the following were pallbearers: Arthur Salzman, homer English, Harry Rogers, Otis Munson, C. J. Stowell and A. Humes.
