BLANTON, EDNA NELSON - age 75 of Knoxville, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2006 at her home. She was a member of the Level Green Baptist Church in Corbin, KY for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by: parents, Chester Virgil Nelson and Inez Ridgeull;
husband, Jasper A. Blanton;
son, Harry Blanton;
brothers, MacArthur Nelson and Chester Quillen Jr.;
sister, Cotha Sasser.
She is survived by: sons, David Blanton and wife Vickie of Knoxville, Jasper Blanton Jr. of Missouri and Nathan Blanton and wife Candice of Illinois;
daughters, Joann Kurgas and husband Kenneth of Missouri and Evelyn Jones and husband Steve of Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren;
brothers, Donald Quillen, Gene Quillen, James Quillen and Kenneth Nelson; sisters, Eva Nelson Palmer and Ethel Brock; several nieces, nephews and many other family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11am til 1pm on Monday, September 18, 2006 at McCarty Mortuary. The family will then go in procession from the funeral home to Caledonia Cemetery for a 2pm graveside service.
