Rachel was born Jan. 3, 1914, in Froid, to Henry and Anna Margaretha Wagner Scheafer. She married Alvin Aders, Feb. 17, 1933. They started married life in Shepherd and later moved to Billings, where they lived together until his death in 1975.
Rachel worked for Hart Albin department store until retiring. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Marie (Don), Ed (Karin) Aders, Annie (Roger) Stene, Carl Aders, Willie (Sue) Aders ; nine grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Marguerite (Bob) Michael; two brothers, August (Irene) Scheafer and Bill Scheafer of Denver; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters and eight brothers.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 21, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Billings. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Smith Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
