"Alberta Bartholomew, 85, of Moore Township, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2007, in Easton Hospital, Wilson. She was the wife of the late Arthur Bartholomew. Born March 20, 1922, in Point Phillips, she was a daughter of the late Edgar I. Sr. and Maude M. (Remaley) Bellis. Alberta, who was called Birdie by friends and Tom by her brothers, was a homemaker and a farmer all her life. A lifelong resident of Moore Township, she was loved by family and friends alike.

Survivors: Two sons, Luther and wife Nancy, Gerald and wife Charmaine; daughter, Geraldine Itterly and husband John; brother, Edgar I. Bellis Jr.; two sisters, Clista Hartzell, Beatrice Manning; 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; companion of 34 years, Frank Campton. In addition to her husband Arthur, she was preceded in death by a son, Edwin, three brothers, Woodrow, Harold and Charles, two sisters, Louella Graver and Evelyn Miller, and three great-grandchildren.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2007, in George G. Bensing Funeral Home Inc., 2165 Community Dr., Route 946, Village of Moorestown-Bath.

Interment, Covenant United Methodist Cemetery, Point Phillips. Viewing will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home."
