COCHRAN - Graveside services for Mrs. Virginia H. Abney, of Cochran, who died Friday, March 21, 2003 at her residence, will be held Sunday, March 23, 2003 at 4:30P.M. in Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Buford Raffield and Rev. Alan Mitchell officiating.
Mrs. Abney was born in Rockledge, Georgia, the daughter of the late William Gibson Hulme and Sue Balchin Hulme. She was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a homemaker. She was a member of Danville Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Abney.
Survivors include her husband, Drew Abney of Cochran; daughter, Becky A. (Glen) Sawyer of Cochran; brother, Paul Hulme of Atlanta; four grandsons, Shayne Abney of Cochran, Brian Abney of Hawkinsville, Shawn Little of Dublin, and Will Abney of Macon; one great-grandson, Chandler Abney of Cochran.
Family will meet friends at Fisher Funeral Home Saturday night from 7:00 until 9:00P.M. and may be contacted at the Abney residence, Cary.
