Iva May Charleston, 91, 310 Washington St., Geneva, died at 5:15 a.m. today at Decatur Community Care Center.
Born May 23, 1895 in Jefferson Township to Phillip and Lorraine Bailey-Irwin, she was married to Eugene C. Charleston in October of 1913; he died in 1974. She was a member of High St. United Methodist Church, Geneva.
Surviving are a son, Thurman Charleston, Van Wert, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. Donna E. Sipe, Berne, and Mrs. Kenneth (Nola) Ellenberger, Bluffton; one sister, Jane Arnold, Limberlost Apartments, Geneva; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and 27 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at downing Funeral Home, Geneva, Revs. Ray Bachman and Wesley Bullis in charge. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling is from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. Wednesday until time of the services. Preferred memorials are to High St. United Methodist Church.
