Louise Krostag Plymouth Post August 5, 1911

Kiel—Mrs. Louise Krostag (nee Schulze) the wife of Mr. Korstag, died at her home on Tuesday morning from diabetes. She was born November 3rd, 1840 in Niedesora, Goerlitz-Schlesen, Germany and lived to be 71 years, 8 months and 21 days. In 1862 she was married to August Krostag and in 1867 they came to America and Town Schleswig where they had a farm. For nineteen years they resided in Kiel where they retired. Their marriage was blessed with 10 children of which seven are still living, namely John and William of Marshfield; August of Milwaukee; Mrs. Jacob Esser in Marshfield and Mrs. Paul Tetzloff of Kiel. The burial is Thursday afternoon in the Kiel Cemetery with Wm. Broeckert having the funeral message.

Tuesday morning, at her home, Mrs. Louise Krostag, nee Schulze, the wife of Mr. August Krostag died after suffering a long time with dropsy (edma). The deceased had reached the age of 71 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was born on November 3, 1840 in Niederfora near Goerlitz, Schlesian, (this area is now part of Poland) Germany and was married there to her husband August Krostag in 1862. They came to America in 1867 and directly Town Schleswig to establish a farm. About 19 years ago, the couple moved to Kiel for their retirement. The marriage produced 10 children, seven that are still living are John and William in Marshfield, August in Milwaukee, Edward in Kiel, Mrs. Pauline Phelan in Milwaukee, Mrs. Jacob Esser in Marshfield and Mrs. Paul Tetzlaff in Kiel. The burial will take place this afternoon (Thursday) at the Kiel Cemetery. Mr. Wm. Broeckert will give the funeral oration.
