Wallace -- Miss Mamie E. Smith, 84, died Saturday, February 19, 1994, at her residence, Pendu Rest Home, where she has lived for the past 25 years.
Born November 16, 1909, in Duplin County, she was the daughter of the late George and Katie Whaley Smith.
Survivors include nephews, Walter Tompkins and Robert Tompkins, both of Rocky Point, and James Thompkins of Sumter, S.C.; nieces, Dorothy Maxwell of Punta Gorda, FL, and Teresa Downey of Peachtree GA; and several great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Pike Creek Cemetery with the Rev.Samuel Swinson officiating. (Quinn-McGowen)
