Mrs. Farmer was a resident of Vermillion for 38 years. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Tandy G. Moore in Shelby County, MO. She married John G. Farmer Sr. (a widely-known Vermillion insurance agent) in Shelbyville, MO., Oct. 15, 1911. They moved to South Dakota in 1919. She was a member of the Baptist Church and was Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in 1923 and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution; admitted to the Wyaconda Chapter in March 1916.
Survivors include her widower, John G. Farmer of Vermillion, two daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Virginia) Norbeck of Redfield [SD] and Mrs. Marian Clayton of Sioux City [IA]; a sister Mrs. Mary Pickett, Macon, Mo.; two brothers, Earl Moore of LaBelle, Mo, and Weldon Moore of Bethel, Mo.; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
