Burley Collins, 46, of 1091 N. Jefferson, died at St. Rita's Hospital at 3:45 p.m. Monday, July 6, 1953 of a heart attack. Ill two years, he was admitted to the hospital Sunday.

He was born in Floyd County, Kentucky and had been a resident of Ohio 40 years. He was a member of the Quickstep Pentecostal Church, south of Alger.

Mr. Collins is survived by his widow, Rosie; five daughters, Mrs. Ira Taylor, Alvordton, Mrs. Nolan Zimmerman of Big Falls, MN, Mrs. Eugene Fraley of Lima and Mamie and Shirley, at home; seven sons, Charles, Donnie, Gene, and Burley, Jr. at home, Roy, Elmer and Russell of Lima; two brothers, John and Jesse; one sister, Cynthia of Homer, MI; and 16 grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Quickstep Church. Rev. Lloyd Whitaker will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery. The body will be removed from Hanson Funeral Home, Alger, to the residence of James Cole, Alger, where friends may call until time of services.
