Thank you to my sister Barbara McPharlin for sending a new and better photo of our sister Beverly's headstone. Bless you Barb for your kind and wonderful heart.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Beverly Died of Crib death, she was a beautiful baby.
Bev was laid out in the same room as her GG Grandfather William Thomas Smith at 1565 12th St, Detroit, Wayne Co. Michigan.
My mother said she was a really sweet baby, smiling all the time.
The story of her death was very sad. Mom had given her a nice warm bath and fixed her bottle, put her to bed propping the bottle on a pillow.
Mom said she had not been feeling well that day so she went to bed early also.
She said when she woke up with a fright, and went to Bev's room, only to find the baby and bottle were where she had left it.
For the rest of her life she blamed herself that she did not know her baby was dying.
Thank you to all in advance, for your kind visit to our baby sister.
