Bub Moon

Bub Moon, 46, World War veteran, died at a local hopsital yesterday morning at 10:15 o'clock. He had been in ill health for some time but was taken seriously ill Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. Moon was born and reared in Greenville county, a son of the late William and Eunice Moon. He had spent his entire life in Greenville County. The family residence is on Paris Mountain.

During the World War, Mr. Moon served overseas with Company L of the 53rd Pioneer Infantry.

He was a member of the Bethel Methodist Church at American Spinning company; the W.O.W. camp at Poe mill; and of Greenville post No. 3, American legion.

His first wife, Mrs. Nellie Moon, died August 5, 1936. His second wife, Mrs. Gladys Roberts Moon survives him together with three daughters, Misses Dorothy Frances, Mary Eunice and Betty Ann Moon, and four sons, Johnnie Everette, Luther Ray, William Henry and Jimmie Carroll Moon, all of Greenville. Three sisters, Mrs. Ervin Wooten, Greenwood; Mrs. Earle Barton and Mrs. Jim Hester, of Greenville and one brother, John Moon, Greenville also survive.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at an hour to be announced later from the offices of Thomas McAfee funeral home. The body will be carried to the residence on Paris mountain to await the hour of the service.
