ELEVA- Charley Knudtson, 86, Eleva, died Friday evening at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. Mr. Knudtson was born Jan. 1, 1889, in Chimney Rock and married Mary Evenson Dec. 11, 1909. He was a lifetime member of the Chimney Rock Luthern Church and farmed all of his life until retirement. Survivors include his wife; four sons, Milford, Gilmanton; John, Strum; Raymond, Racine; and Orvin, Eau Claire; three daughters, Mrs. Clarence Johnson and Mrs. Joe Helgeson, both of Eleva, and Mrs. Frank Heath, Osseo; one brother, Henry, Eleva; 49 grandchildren and 74 great-grandchildren. Sevices will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Chimney Rock Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Baxter officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Kjentvet and Son Funeral Home in Eleva and from noon Tuesday until services at the church.
