James was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew Jack Simpson and Edie Bell-Simpson; his brothers: David Simpson, Ray Simpson, and Bill Simpson; and his sisters: Marie Folger, Louise Hathaway, Ann Schindler, and Shirley Wilson.
He is survived by four children: Connie Lane Simpson of Lebanon, TN, Deborah L. Simpson of Thornton, Dustin S. Simpson of Fordyce, and Tonya Simpson-White of Panama City, FL; six grandchildren: Shawn, Debi, Emanuel, Colleen, Samantha, and Daniel; four great grandchildren: Brandi, Andi, Malachi, and Dylan Monroe; and two brothers, Andrew Jack Simpson of FL and Richard Simpson of FL.
The cremation services were performed by Benton Funeral Home.
