Mathias J. Philipp, 75, town of Meeme, died at 10:45 o'clock Friday night at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
He was born Feb. 24, 1880, in Sheboygan, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter Philipp. He moved to the town of Schleswig with his parents when still a young boy. For the past 27 years he made his home with his brother George
near Spring Valley. He was a self-employed carpenter.
Funeral services will be held at 8:45 Monday morning at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home at Kiel, and at 10 o'clock in the morning at St. Fidelis church. The Rev. John Baum will be the celebrant of the requiem mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Meiselwitz Funeral Home in Kiel from 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon until time of services.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Emma Kelley, Manitowoc, and one brother, George, near Spring Valley. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
A parish vigil will be held at the funeral home at 8 o'clock Sunday evening.
Father Baum will lead the rosary.
