Mrs. Dorothea Philipp, nee Heinke, died at her home in the town of Schleswig at 7:30 Tuesday morning. Mrs. Philipp had been ill for the past year, and three weeks ago her condition became worse. She had reached the age of 69 years.
The deceased was born August 21, 1858, in the town of Sheboygan Falls. At the age of 9 years she moved with her parents to the farm on which she died. She was married in 1879 to Peter Philipp. The couple had lived at Sheboygan and Milwaukee until 12 years ago, when they returned to Schleswig. Her husband preceded her in death in December, 1923.
Ten children were born to the couple, four of whom are living. The children are: Math. and George at home, Mrs. Emma Kelly of Manitowoc, and Mrs. Jos. Koenig of Spring Valley. One step-sister also survives.
Funeral services were held at 9:30 Thursday morning at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic church here, with interment in the Kiel Catholic cemetery. The Rev. A. Roder performed the last rites.
