Mrs. Flora Race, age 91, who resided at Route 1, Peshtigo, Wisconsin, died July 19, 1970 at Marinette General Hospital, where she had been a patient for six days. The former Flora King was born {to James and Mary (Wood) King} in the Town of Grover on April 22, 1879.

On July 3, 1896, she was married to William Race, Sr. at Harmony. He died June 5, 1955. She was a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service of Harmony United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Race is survived by four sons: Howard and Herbert Race of Marinette; George Race of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Robert Race, at home;
six daughters: Eva Bowman of Grover; Florence Loucks of Chicago, Illinois; Ellen Utter of Marinette; Bernice Loomis of Grover; Evelyn Michalski of Harmony and Irene Walters of Peshtigo.
Also surviving are two brothers, Herbert King of Peshtigo and Walter King of Racine;
a sister, Laura McGregor of Sagola, MI;
26 grandchildren and 55-great-grandchildren.

Visitation and funeral services at Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home in Peshtigo. Pallbearers were John Ramsay, Art Carlson, Ernest Kleinprintz, Ernest Strutz, Lester Drier and Henry Rohde. Burial in the Harmony Cemetery.
