Camille was born in the family home at Misiere, Door County, Wisconsin, on 27 December 1888, the eldest child of Alexander Flemal and Josephine DeDecker Flemal.

On 25 April 1906 Camille married her 1st cousin, William J. Rankin. After farming for several years, Camille and William operated a hotel and saloon in Forestville, Door County, Wisconsin.

Two children were born to Camille and William, William Jr. (1906-1982) and a child still-born in 1916.

William Sr. died in 1918 (see bio of William Rankin). Camille continued to operate the Forestville business. On 18 May 1920 Camille married John Poh Sr (1888-1968) at St. Michaels Church in Misiere.
