Mrs. Kincaid was born on December 4, 1922, in Cairo, GA, to the late James Ausburn and Ivy Bryant Ausburn. On January 6, 1945, she married Glenn B. Kincaid, who preceded her in death on July 9, 1975. She and her husband were self-employed as dairy farmers. She worked with Bob’s Grocery Store during WWII. Later she was employed with the Grady County School Board of Education at Whigham Elementary and Shiver School. Most people knew her as “Aunt Polly.” She loved her animals especially her “Cat.” She was a devoted member of Reno Baptist Church for 90 years.
Survivors include: her daughter, Glenda Coffey (Jack) of Cairo, GA; her son, Norman Kincaid of Cairo, GA; grandchildren, Richard Dupree (Stephanie) of Albany, GA, Kelly Morris (Rodger) of Leesburg, GA, Haskell Martin of Gainesville, FL, Elizabeth Hall (Craig) of Middleburg, VA, Mathew Martin of Cairo, GA, Sean Coffey of Cairo, GA, Kimberly Kincaid of Bainbridge, GA, Kendall “Casey” Kincaid of Bainbridge, GA; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Luther Ausburn (Pearl) of Reno, GA; brother-in-law, Randall Kincaid (Evelyn) of Thomasville, GA; special friends, Lauren Turner, Owen Turner, Kennedy Turner, Janet Gross; and a host nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sons, George Gary Kincaid, Robert Otis “Bob” Kincaid; sisters, Alice Harrison, Eva Ausburn Kelly, Annie Elizabeth Ausburn Palmer, Maggie Ausburn Maxwell; brothers, George Pascal Ausburn, Arthur Ausburn, John Daniel Ausburn, Archie Ausburn, Anderson Ausburn, Ivey (Bo) Ausburn; and two siblings who died at birth.
