Mr. and Mrs. Ausburn were married March 22, 1958 in Henry County, Florida. To their union were the birth of seven children:
1. Ivy Hampton Ausburn, named after Anderson's mother
(Ivey Delilah Bryant Ausburn), and brother (I.V. "Bo" Ivy
Van Ausburn).
2. Beverly Jane Ausburn (Wolfgram), who married Douglas
Paul Wolfgram, and parents of two boys.
3. Rhonda Sue Ausburn Ballinger, who married Jim Ballinger,
and parents of two boys, and one girl.
4. Dewayne Higgs Ausburn, who married Suzette, and
parents of a son.
5. Anderson Eugene Ausburn Jr., unmarried, father of Ivy Bryant Ausburn, with his girlfriend, Landi White.
6. Heather LeAnn Ausburn, mother of three
children, with her common law husband (deceased),
William Carlton Dean Sr. Heather and Billy had three
children, a daughter, and two sons.
After his marriage to Ida Sue Higgs, Mr. Ausburn and his wife returned to Georgia, and founded Ausburn's Garage, and Service Station in Calvary, Georgia. Mr. Ausburn was renown for building custom water pumps, which farmers use to irrigate their crops. Many are still in operation today, 45 years after they were built.
At his death, Mr. Ausburn enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an advid hunter/outsdoorman prior to going blind during his retirement. Mr. Ausburn was the son of Ivy Delilah Bryant Ausburn, and James Alexander Ausburn, both proceeded him in death.
Mr. Ausburn was especially close to his brothers and sisters living at the time of his death, Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Ausburn Palmer, Mrs. Alice Ausburn Harrison, Mrs. Polly L. Ausburn Kincaid, Mr. I.V. "Bo" Ausburn, and youngest sibling, Luther William Ausburn. The family held an annual family reunion at the family church in Reno, GA, a tradition that continues to this day.
